PM Services for O'Hare Modernization Program (OMP)
DMJM Aviation Partners is providing program management services for the first phase of airfield modernization at O’Hare International Airport (ORD).
The O’Hare Modernization Program (OMP) will reconfigure O’Hare’s intersecting runways into a more modern, parallel layout. The first phase (worth 2.9 billion in construction dollars) will design and construct three runways, relocate three miles of the Union Pacific Railroad tracks, relocate the water detention basin on the south airfield, and complete numerous other “enabling” projects.
Key OMP projects
-
New 7,500-foot x 150-foot Runway 9L-27R on the north side of the airport
-
2,861-foot extension to existing Runway 9R-27L (which will become Runway 10L-28R)
-
New 10,600-foot Group VI Runway 10C-28C on the airport’s south side
